Aschaffenburg, 2 June – DocEstate, a leading software and consulting provider for administrative procedures in the real estate sector, is increasingly relying on cooperation with federal, state and local authorities for its further growth. The award-winning PropTech makes it possible to request official documents digitally from public administrations, building authorities and government offices and to provide them online. For further strategic growth, the Aschaffenburg-based company wants to work together with policymakers to create more digital interfaces between authorities and the real estate industry and to make the processes associated with the real estate business more efficient through digitalisation. On the one hand, this is intended to relieve authorities suffering from a shortage of skilled workers; on the other, approval procedures and administrative processes for real estate companies are to become significantly less time-consuming. DocEstate expects this to considerably accelerate construction projects.
There are signals of support for these plans from the political sphere. Daniel Föst, spokesperson for building and housing policy of the FDP parliamentary group in the Bundestag and member of parliament for Munich, emphasised the need for closer exchange between politics and business in order to achieve sustainable progress in digital administration during a meeting with Christoph Schmidt, CEO of DocEstate. At the meeting in the Bundestag, the two experts from politics and practice discussed the necessities of digitalisation in administration, accelerated procedures and approvals, and the future of construction.
“Uniform, digital standards for the real estate industry within public administration are a key factor in accelerating construction projects. But here, too, digitalisation is a mammoth task. We need the private sector, start-ups and new ideas to master these challenges. We urgently need to make Germany’s authorities competitive. We need innovations like this in order to build more, faster and more cheaply. Only in this way can we get the housing shortage under control,” said Föst at the meeting.
