Aschaffenburg, 17 November – For the fourth time, the leading industry association ZIA (German Property Federation) has honoured companies and their “best practice innovations in the real estate industry”. DocEstate is one of this year’s award winners and was recognised as part of the innovation congress.
All companies in the real estate industry were able to apply – there were more than 110 submissions in total. This year, the jury focused on interface innovations. In addition, the panel assessed the degree of novelty of the concept, customer benefit, scalability to further fields of application, protection against imitation, benefits for the environment and society, and economic viability.
The jury justified the award of “best practice innovation in the real estate industry” to DocEstate as follows:
“The life cycle phases of a property require a large amount of official information (e.g. land register extracts, building encumbrance information, etc.). This information represents a valid source of data and is an important basis for many players on the real estate market when identifying and assessing the risks and potential of a property. At present, obtaining these documents is highly manual, time-consuming and non-transparent. DocEstate, as a hybrid between PropTech and GovTech, makes a great deal of property-related official information available to the highest quality standards. The jury particularly values the innovation potential at the interface between the real estate industry and public administration.”
DocEstate convinced the high-calibre jury with its business model and digital solution. “We took on the challenge of making official information available digitally. In parts of the country, that is somewhat like Don Quixote’s fight against windmills,” says Christoph Schmidt, co-founder and managing director of DocEstate.
