A political kick-off in Munich: the Bavarian Minister-President, Dr Markus Söder, today welcomed selected start-ups, including DocEstate, for a personal exchange in the halls of the Bavarian State Chancellery.
During the session, which lasted almost two hours, the individual challenges of the various start-ups were discussed in detail. DocEstate’s approach was acknowledged by the Minister-President and regarded as beneficial for the entire industry. At the same time, Christoph Schmidt, co-founder and managing director, criticised the lack of exchange between politics and start-ups and called for more pragmatism in concrete cooperation and in the implementation of pilot projects.
In addition, the other start-ups complained about the limited options within employee participation programmes for attracting qualified staff to their companies. The lack of capital in large financing rounds for the German market was also hotly debated.
On a positive note, the concerns of innovative young companies are now receiving more attention, start-ups in Germany are generally gaining in importance and are now even higher on the political agenda.
